Why ?

is it people do that

 

 I sat down and wondered the other day, why people feel tempted to write a blog. Sorry to say, that I couldn't find one universal reason why. Hence I suppose the many varied subjects that are covered by so many blog writers . I think the knack is, not to put oneself under too much pressure to publish on an exact regular basis and to have fun whilst you write (hence my irregular postings. Sorry about that,) I did mention the other day to a close friend that I intended to invest some of my time in writing a blog

I have a book and pen I keep in the car with me just in case  I spot that certain something or perhaps an idea for a post, I have to stop and write it down obviously, but when a van goes flying past me on a blind bend and I notice that it belongs to " iamabigtwat" emergency lipstick delivery company, I generally think it's well worth the effort !!

 

Mother, bless her cotton socks, always used to describe me as "a bit of a fart in a fairground". What she was describing was someone who tried to do so many things at the same time, that all they managed to do was to go around in ever decreasing circles, and as it turned out, she was right, I am still the same fart, only a bit older now. One might think I should have learnt something by now, but old habits die hard don't they ?

Soooooooooooooo, my reason for this blog, apart from of course something more to add to the things that I do, is to try and organise myself a little better, to have fun and perhaps entertain a few more people on the way. I don't have that need to persuade people that I am better than I really am (trumpety trump) nor do I feel the need to have people to talk to, I already have myself and the friends that I have already introduced you to in the photos, Ok. it may always seems to be a bit of a one sided conversation, but beggars can't be choosers can they? I think that I would rather do that, than talk to some of the nutters I've recently seen on the telly !! 

 

 My blog, I suppose, in some respects is a bit like a book, published one chapter at a time. The main difference I can see is that I can delete my blog, but once a book has been published it's out there in the public domain for ever, and except perhaps for people like Henry V111, or maybe certain religious nutters who burnt books, then my scribblings are out there for all time !

 

Next episode perhaps a little less taxing on the old grey matter and more of what I and other people get up to in the back end of beyond in  deepest rural France.
